Clare M. Bello, Esquire, Enterprise Director of Claims & Insurance, Jefferson Health. Ms. Bello leads the claims program across the Jefferson enterprise. Before joining Jefferson, Ms. Bello was the Senior Vice President of CCMSI and Division Leader of VCM.
Ms. Bello founded VCM in 2002 and for the first 12 years led VCM as its CEO. She took VCM from a regional organization to a national company, setting standards in the healthcare claims management industry.
Ms. Bello has lectured in national and international programs for the healthcare medical malpractice market. She has been published for her innovative approaches to claims management and is active in organizations designed to develop and promote best practices for managing professional liability claims and litigation.
Ms. Bello holds a law degree from the Duquesne University School of Law. She managed an active professional liability defense and regulatory law practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for over a decade before starting VCM.
